2025 Events

We are SO excited to be bringing back our Valentine’s Day Treat Fundraiser this year! All of the treats are homemade by Paws4Potter volunteers! You can choose from regular dog treats, low-allergen (wheat-free) dog treats, and regular cat treats! You can place an order online through the link below or stop in at The Animal Doctors to place an order in person! Orders will be available for pick-up at The Animal Doctors on Friday, February 14th from 12PM until 3PM OR on Saturday, February 15th from 11AM until 1PM. All proceeds go to Paws4Poter and the National Canine Cancer Foundation!

We are SO excited to be hosting an educational event for the general public at the Hilton Garden Inn of Watertown, NY again! We haven’t been able to do this since 2019!

Dr. Cyndie Courtney is a practicing small animal veterinarian in Kansas and is well-known in the veterinary community as “The Jerk Researcher.” She is a conflict consultant and has a wealth of knowledge about healthy communication between members of veterinary teams as well as between members of a veterinary team and pet owners!

Lecture Event Summary:

Even under the best of circumstances with a doctor you trust, it can be anxiety-inducing to help our loved ones get the medical care they need. This is especially true when we're trying to speak up for our pets who can't speak for themselves. Get tips from practicing veterinarian and conflict consultant Dr. Cyndie Courtney on how you can help your pets get the best care while still maintaining a good relationship with your veterinarian. 

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand and validate the unique insights audience members bring to their pets’ medical care as pet owners. 

2. Formulate approaches for - firmly but considerately - bringing up common concerns with their veterinarian.

3. Name principles of veterinary medical ethics that relate to what pet owners can reasonably ask of their veterinary team.
